Silver Week traffic restrictions
From September 19 to 23 the Ise-Nishi interchange exit on the Ise Expressway is closed, and from the 20th to the 22nd the Ise interchange exit is closed as well. From the 20th to the 22nd a shuttle bus runs from the car parks around Sun Arena. You cannot drive up to Naiku, so please plan your route around it.

All times are to Ise-shi Station, five minutes' walk from Geku; only the boat-and-taxi option runs to the shrines themselves. Car times are our own estimates from map routing, and motorcycles can use the same figures. Nothing here includes transfers, traffic or waiting for a boat.

The Ise Bay Ferry and the fast boat run a limited number of sailings a day, so the timetable matters more than the few minutes they save. Check it before you set out.
