• If you feel strong shaking, or slow shaking that lasts a long time, move to high ground immediately — do not wait for a warning. The Ise-Shima coast lies within the tsunami hazard zone.
• A tsunami arrives repeatedly. Do not go back until the warning has been lifted.
• Evacuation sites are designated per hazard type. A site that is safe in a tsunami is not necessarily safe in a flood. Use the filter below.

Site names and addresses are shown in Japanese so that they match the signs you will see on the ground. Show them to anyone nearby if you need directions.

Each city publishes the authoritative maps of expected flooding and evacuation routes. It is worth looking at them before you set out. Japanese only.
