Marujin Honpo makes and sells arare rice crackers in Hamajima, Shima. Every batch uses 100% domestic ingredients, is made by hand in the old way and is left to dry naturally. They come in mixed, brown sugar, soy sauce, kinako and aosa seaweed flavours, baked, fried or roasted, and the baked mix suits arare chazuke, the Ise-Shima way of eating them with tea poured over rice.
