Shofuku Teahouse stands in Okage Yokocho, built on the idea of a cat-and-machiya cafe. Inside the wooden building are colourful Ichiki cotton cushions, beckoning cats set out to draw in good fortune, and tableware painted with cats and auspicious patterns. The menu is somen noodles: shichifuku somen combining lucky ingredients, somen with Matsusaka beef, and somen with whitebait, plum and shiso.
