Akafuku Ise Station Store is a takeaway counter inside JR Iseshi Station, just outside the ticket gates. It sells Akafuku mochi, a rice cake topped with smooth red bean paste, packed in the pink washi-wrapped wooden boxes used for gifts. The ridges of paste on each cake are shaped after the ripples of the Isuzu River, which runs through the grounds of Ise Jingu.
