Silver Week traffic restrictions
From September 19 to 23 the Ise-Nishi interchange exit on the Ise Expressway is closed, and from the 20th to the 22nd the Ise interchange exit is closed as well. From the 20th to the 22nd a shuttle bus runs from the car parks around Sun Arena. You cannot drive up to Naiku, so please plan your route around it.

About this place

Akafuku Main Store is the home of Akafuku mochi, a sweet first made in the fourth year of Hoei: mochi under a layer of smooth red bean paste, shaped after the ripples of the Isuzu River that runs through the grounds of Ise Jingu. Akafuku mochi is the only sweet served to eat in here, joined by Tsuitachi mochi on the first day of every month except January. It can also be bought to take away.
