Akafuku Futami Branch sells akafuku mochi, a rice cake topped with smooth red bean paste. Its shape is modelled on the Isuzu River that runs through the grounds of Ise Jingu: three ridges in the paste stand for the current, and the white mochi beneath for the pebbles on the riverbed. You can eat in here or buy boxed sets to take away, and the branch serves akafuku shaved ice in summer and akafuku zenzai, a warm red bean soup, in winter.
