Ofukumochi Honke Futami sits at Futamiura, the stretch of coast known for the Meoto Iwa wedded rocks. Ofuku mochi, the house sweet, is made with glutinous rice and adzuki beans from Hokkaido and shaped by hand to suggest the waves breaking on the Futami shore. At the counter seats you can order a three-piece plate of ofuku mochi and wrapped mochi served with matcha, or ofuku anmitsu, and wrapped mochi and red-bean ice bars are sold to take away.
