About this place
Akafuku Gegū-mae is the Geku-front branch of Akafuku in Ise. Akafuku mochi is a rice cake topped with smooth red bean paste, shaped after the ripples of the Isuzu River: the three ridges of paste stand for the current, the white mochi for the pebbles on the riverbed. You can eat it at the shop or buy boxed sets to take home, and Akafuku shaved ice is served in summer, Akafuku zenzai in winter.
