Halfway up Mt. Dainichi, and reckoned the hardest of the 125 shrines to reach. From the stone marker in the village the path runs through bamboo, under the Ise Expressway and up about 1.1 km of mountain track. The two deities here govern farming and irrigation; the stream below the grounds is said never to have run dry, even in drought. The trees turn colour in late autumn.
