About this place

Set among rice fields, and without a sanctuary building: the sacred stone rests on a stone pavement, and that is all. The grounds measure just 122 square metres, the smallest of any of the 125 shrines outside the precincts of Naiku and Geku. The goddess enshrined here guards the five grains. The Isuzu river is said once to have run close by, with a landing place here.
