Silver Week traffic restrictions
From September 19 to 23 the Ise-Nishi interchange exit on the Ise Expressway is closed, and from the 20th to the 22nd the Ise interchange exit is closed as well. From the 20th to the 22nd a shuttle bus runs from the car parks around Sun Arena. You cannot drive up to Naiku, so please plan your route around it.

About this place

Dedicated to Princess Yamatohime-no-Mikoto, who according to tradition travelled in search of a place to enshrine Amaterasu and settled on the bank of the Isuzu river, founding Naiku. Established in 1923, it is the newest of the 125 shrines. It stands on Kurata hill, near the Chokokan museum and the Jingu library.
