Silver Week traffic restrictions
From September 19 to 23 the Ise-Nishi interchange exit on the Ise Expressway is closed, and from the 20th to the 22nd the Ise interchange exit is closed as well. From the 20th to the 22nd a shuttle bus runs from the car parks around Sun Arena. You cannot drive up to Naiku, so please plan your route around it.

About this place

An auxiliary shrine of Naiku in Nakamura-cho, Ise, dedicated to the moon deity, a sibling of Amaterasu. Three more shrines stand inside the same enclosure, and this is the only place in Jingu where four sanctuaries stand in a single row. The customary order of worship is Tsukiyomi-no-miya, then Tsukiyomi-no-Aramitama-no-miya, Izanagi-no-miya and Izanami-no-miya.
