Silver Week traffic restrictions
From September 19 to 23 the Ise-Nishi interchange exit on the Ise Expressway is closed, and from the 20th to the 22nd the Ise interchange exit is closed as well. From the 20th to the 22nd a shuttle bus runs from the car parks around Sun Arena. You cannot drive up to Naiku, so please plan your route around it.

About this place

On paving in the north-west corner inside the fence around the main sanctuary, facing west. There is no building, and the enclosure may not be entered, so it is worshipped from the path. The deity guards the main sanctuary and is said to be another name for Sarutahiko-no-Okami. On festival days every priest on duty prays here first before taking up his office.
