It shares a single building with Tanoe-jinja. When many shrines were rebuilt in 1663 this one was not, and it has been enshrined alongside its neighbour ever since. Like Tanoe-jinja it enshrines a guardian of farming households. Several burial mounds stand in the grounds, along with a stone forbidding the taking of life, set up by the Kishu domain in 1724.
