It shares a single building with Kunitsumioya-jinja. The deity is held to be a child of that shrine's deity and a tutelary deity of the district. The site is a wood known as the Chaya grove, with the sacred ricefields of Jingu to the east. It ranks fourteenth among the sixteen massha of Naiku.
