Silver Week traffic restrictions
From September 19 to 23 the Ise-Nishi interchange exit on the Ise Expressway is closed, and from the 20th to the 22nd the Ise interchange exit is closed as well. From the 20th to the 22nd a shuttle bus runs from the car parks around Sun Arena. You cannot drive up to Naiku, so please plan your route around it.

About this place

The deity guards the clear water that rises among rocks. The shrine originally stood in Ujitachi, where the old place name Iwaida still echoes its own. It now shares a single building with Tsunaga-jinja and Niikawa-jinja, and seven of the 125 shrines stand together here, four minutes' walk from the Uji bridge.
