About this place

Where the Isuzu and Asakuma rivers meet, with Asakuma-jinja on the far bank. The fenced Tora-ishi, the tiger stone, in the grounds was the original object of worship: two sacred mirrors were enshrined on it. The Shiohi-ishi stands out in the river, and boulders are scattered all around. A footbridge, open to walkers only, links the two shrines.
