Silver Week traffic restrictions
From September 19 to 23 the Ise-Nishi interchange exit on the Ise Expressway is closed, and from the 20th to the 22nd the Ise interchange exit is closed as well. From the 20th to the 22nd a shuttle bus runs from the car parks around Sun Arena. You cannot drive up to Naiku, so please plan your route around it.

About this place

A grove standing like an island in the middle of the rice fields, north of the park with the reclining-dragon plum associated with Sugawara no Michizane. The deity governs the lower reaches of the Miyagawa and the water that feeds the fields. Mori-jinja, a matsusha, shares the site, its deity being that of the sacred tree of this grove. A large camphor tree rises behind the sanctuary.
