A lone stand of trees out among the ricefields, with a large camphor tree behind the building. The deity is that of the sacred trees of the grove itself. It shares a single building with Kawara-jinja, and together with nearby Kawarabuchi-jinja the three have long been called the three shrines. Garyubai park, associated with Sugawara no Michizane, lies just to the south.
