About this place

On a low hill known locally as Okitama-no-mori, where moss covers the ground all around the sanctuary. It enshrines Yodahime-no-Mikoto, deity of the waters of the Isuzu river, and is said to have been founded by Princess Yamatohime. Najime-jinja, a matsusha, shares the site, so a single sanctuary holds two shrines.
